The Tyrolean climbing fir
– Ideal for fruit harvesting –
Stable, dismantlable and easily transportable
What is actually a TIROLER STEIGTANNE?
Two approximately 7 cm long knife blades press into the ground when climbing, so that the spar cannot twist. The tedious and unsafe underpinning of one or the other foot is no longer necessary, and slipping is excluded.
If you need the TIROLER STEIGTANNE for work on solid ground, such as concrete or asphalt, the foot with the knife blades can be replaced with one with rubber studs. This foot guarantees a firm and secure stand even on sloped surfaces. The rungless upper part is used to easily place the TIROLER STEIGTANNE in branch forks. It greatly facilitates positioning in the tree. Slipping off the branch is no longer possible, even with extreme weight shifts on the TIROLER STEIGTANNE.
Here it should be noted: Only inserting into branch forks, not into twig forks, guarantees a secure stand. The owner experiences a real facilitation of work here, as entangling the branches on the rungless part is not possible compared to a two-rail ladder. Furthermore, branches and fruit buds are maximally preserved. If you want to lean the TIROLER STEIGTANNE against a tree trunk, this is done by replacing the rungless upper part with a plug-in fork. This fork is mainly used forforest work. Considering the aforementioned points, the word safety for this utility item deserves all of our approval.
Even though this ladder looks unusual, it offers multiple safety features because
- only one rail needs to be leaned
- the ladder foot is pivoted and can thus adapt to the terrain.
There is occasionally the mistaken belief that working with the single-rung ladder is very dangerous without a side rail. However, after an initial inhibition, you will very soon find that the rail between the legs offers more support than one might think. Therefore, always place a thigh on a rung. Without having to hold on with your hand, a sideways-shifted working method is possible without danger. This provides additional freedom of action and a larger working radius on this single-rung ladder. The TIROLER STEIGTANNE, which is made from a statically very stable aluminum multi-chamber hollow profile, has proven itself excellently in tree care in the forest and field since its appearance. Among bird protectors, the TIROLER STEIGTANNE is very popular because hanging and checking nest boxes has become significantly easier and safer.
- Biological pest control
- Incubator care and its control
- For use in value pruning
- Attaching pull ropes during winch and grip use
- Use in cable crane installation
- Installation of cable crane saddles, crane supports, and end mast rollers
- Use in hunting operations
- Clearing of sight lines
- Assistant ladder for high seat construction and high seat ladder replacement
The length of the TIROLER STEIGTANNE is determined by the number of ladder sections. You can therefore assemble your TIROLER STEIGTANNE according to specific needs and transport it easily. The body weight can be safely shifted to the side with the leg hooked in. Stability is ensured by the movable ladder foot. When climbing the ladder, the knife blades press into the ground. The foot adapts to any inclination in the terrain through the swivel joint.
Safety above all
With rungless top and movable foot 16 rungs = 5.61m; with plug-in fork and movable foot 20 rungs = 5.91 mFrom the perspective of occupational safety, this single-stem ladder on trees is superior to all other leaning ladders. Only a ladder suitable for the desired application is a safe ladder. A wrong ladder poses dangers. The Federal Association of Agricultural Trade Associations, Head Office for Accident Prevention, provided suggestions for the design. The Board for Forestry and Forest Technology (KWF) has also tested this single-stem ladder in practical work.
The single-stem ladder is a special ladder for use on trees. It is so stable because, unlike a normal leaning ladder, it only has two fixed points, one in the branch fork and one on the articulated foot.
The Tyrolean climbing fir is a convenient and, above all, safe work equipment, whether when used for the fruit harvest, in the case of tree cuts, work in researcher and hunting companies, when caring for trees in parks, even when working for bird protectors, the Tyrolean climb has always proved to be an almost ideal work equipment. The movable foot with knife cutting is guaranteed to be an absolutely safe stand on the grown floor in all inclinations. For concrete or asphalt floors, a foot with rubber ornaments was developed, which also lays down. The sproutless top enables insertion into branches at the outer branch end. With the additional part 'attachment fork', the Tyrolean climbing fir can be safely done on the tree trunk.
The single-pole ladder consists of individual elements that can be assembled. A joint foot with cutting edges, a joint foot with rubber studs, a rung section with 4 rungs that can be stacked multiple times, a top section without rungs - always attached to the top rung section - for better insertion into the branches, and an attachment fork for leaning against tree trunks, which can be attached to the top section without rungs. This attachment fork has a hard rubber insert to prevent the tree bark frombeing damaged.
Due to the disassemblability of the single-pole ladder, there are no transport problems. You can transport the TIROLER STEIGTANNE in the trunk of a car. Another advantage of this ladder construction is the variable height. You can easily assemble the TIROLER STEIGTANNE according to your individual needs.
You see, the TIROLER STEIGTANNE is versatile and offers the highest possible safety, and this safety should be valuable to you. How often do you reach for a branch or fruit beyond your reach and then it happens? This is where the TIROLER STEIGTANNE stands out. Negative experiences and accidents related to the single-pole ladder have not been reported so far.
This is how the TIROLER STEIGTANNE is used:
- Rungless top part for inserting into branch forks. (Plug-in fork cannot be attached here).
- Movable foot with knife edges for setting up on natural grounds. For example: lawns, dug-up soil, forest floor, as well as on snow or ice surfaces.
- Movable foot with rubber studs for setting up on almost all surfaces. For example: concrete or asphalt surfaces. Plug-in fork for attaching to tree trunks. (Can only be attached to the rung section).
- Rung section can be stacked multiple times. You determine your desired length (max. 5 pole sections).
