Functional principle: This is how the rat funnel prevents intrusion

Rats often enter through the sewage system into buildings and can also move through vertical downpipes to move upwards. They use deposits and pipe walls to work their way up piece by piece.

The rat funnel uses a simple but effective principle: Through a targeted increase in diameter in the pipe it is prevented that the animals can support themselves on the pipe walls. The support is missing - climbing is no longer possible.

Since the system works completely without mechanical flaps, there is no risk of clogging. The operation is permanently safe and trouble-free.

Installation and assembly

The installation is uncomplicated in existing or new sewage pipes:

• A pipe section approximately 600 mm long is removed from the downpipe (usually in the basement)
• The rat funnel is inserted into the opening
• Fixation is done using clamps or double sockets  
• Optionally, an inspection flap can be added

Important: The installation must be done in a vertical downpipe for the system to function correctly.

Variants: Symmetrical and asymmetrical

Depending on the structural situation, two variants are available:

Symmetrical rat funnel

• Standard solution for freely accessible downpipes

Asymmetrical rat funnel

• Ideal for downpipes directly on the wall
• Installation without additional bends or chiseling
• Particularly suitable for renovations in existing buildings
